ibrahim palace

located in the Al Kout neighborhood in the center of Al hofuf. The fort was originally built by the Ottomans and includes buildings in different architectural styles. These buildings include the Al Qubba mosque, built in 1577 AD. The military essence in its design is what distinguishes Ibrahim Palace among other palaces in Saudi Arabia. The fort includes a museum with photographs that provide a window into the fort’s history.

The House of Al mulla (Allegiance House)

is a historical house located in the Al Koot neighborhood of Al Hofuf city. It is the house of Abdul Latif Al Mulla, the head of the Al Mulla family, and the house that witnessed the people of Al Ahsa pledge allegiance to King Abdul Aziz in 1913. Its area is 705 square meters, and it was founded in 1789. Since 2005 it has been converted into a museum, it contains many rooms, collectibles, tools, manuscripts and archaeological contents

Al-Qaisaryah market

Al-Uqair

was the first seaport in the Arabian Gulf. Al-Uqair also tends to have ties with ancient Gerrha and Mesopotamia. When the Kingdom was established, al-Uqair was its economic gateway, as the location of the conference and signature of Uqair Protocol of 1922, helping establish the borders marks between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

The Heritage House Museum

With a dream to ensure this legacy lived on, Al-Khawahir established the Heritage House Museum in Al-Ahsa. The museum’s area spans over 1,000 square meters across two floors hosting 18 distinctive sections. It features many priceless historical treasures and heritage pieces as well as a traditional restaurant The museum displays very old exhibits including ancient fossil materials dating back thousands of years such as a rhinoceros horn and fossilized crabs. Visitors can also view old Holy Qur’ans and ancient weapons such as swords, daggers and rifles

The pottery factories (Dogha Al-Gharas)

have operated for centuries (more than 150 years ago) and produces Pottery vessels with different shapes and uses is considered part of local heritage and folklore. Mr. Wassil Ali Al-Gharash, who supervises the factory said that pottery is an art that requires patience, accuracy, skill and an experienced hand with a special touch The pottery industry remains one of the most important parts of Al-Ahsa’s allure. A segment of the local community has managed to maintain a robust handmade pottery market despite modern developments in manufacturing and production

                                                                                                       Al Qara Mountain
 is visible from a great distance. Because of the sub-aerial weathering, over time, the mountain has developed a number of networks of caves and is distinguished by its remarkable shapes and narrow canyons. It is located between four villages and is accompanied by rivers and over 3 million palm trees. In Al Ahsa, archaeological evidence of settlements in that are dated back to 5,000 BC There is also a museum known as ‘Land of Civilizations’, which was established to give a brief account of the legends and history of  the ancient land. As the second largest island in the arabian gulf after Qeshm island, Tarout Island is a significant tourist attraction in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The island is considered as one of the oldest human settlements in the Arabian Peninsula, was discovered in 5000 BC. Due to its unique history and the presence of various empires, the island is rich in culture, heritage, and tradition. It was named after Ishtarut or Ashtaroot, which means God of Love and War. The Dilmun kingdom ruled the place in 3000 BC and played a significant role in the history of the region. Later, the region was ruled by various empires, including the Persian Empire, Islamic Empire, Portuguese Empire, and Ottoman Empire. The island was very crucial in terms of trade activity in the entire arabian gulf region.

             The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra)

is a museum located in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The center was built and inaugurated in 2016 with a focus on culture, learning and cross-cultural activities. The building was designed by a Norwegian architectural firm and is an amazing sight with its futuristic architecture, and was also listed by the Time magazine as one of the top 100 places to visit in 2018. The center hosts seasonal events, exhibits and workshops that people can sign up for on the museum’s website. An energy exhibit is held in a separate building which showcases multiple interactive displays and gives a detailed explantion about oil refining, production and the energy industry. The building has a huge library where visitors can sit either to study or marvel at the architecture. Some restaurants and pop ups are also found in the vicinity. The trip to the museum can be very educational and enlightening. It provides an excellent learning opportunity in terms of culture and art especially for children.

Bahrain National Museum

One of the top places to visit in Bahrain. The building itself is enough of an attraction with its beautiful architecture and stunning beachfront location. Built in 1988, the museum extends over a total area of 27,800 square meters. It features nine halls across six main sections, summarizing 4,000 years of the Kingdom’s history The archaeological finds from ancient Dilmun make some of the most popular attractions but the reproduction of the old Souq is definitely not to be missed as well

The majestic Bahrain Fort stares out across the Gulf. Built by the Portuguese in the 16th century, it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site believed to have been the capital of the ancient Dilmun Empire where humans have continuously inhabited since 2300 BC. The fort is supported by a stylish, modern visitor center and an excellent museum, where you can pick up a free audio-guide then enjoy having a drink at the Museum Café

One of the tourist places that attract the attention of all tourists, the ancient gate was restored in 1945 by Sir Charles Belgrave, who was the advisor to the government of Bahrain at that time. It was renewed again in 1986 By placing the Islamic character in all the details, rich in accurate inscriptions and Quranic verses in the most beautiful Arabic calligraphy. Bab Al Bahrain is located at the entrance to the central business district and is a great place to take some souvenir photos, and many activities are held at Bab Al Bahrain, such as exhibitions that are filled with popular products, handmade and home products

Tree of life
